Boating Incident On The Broads

Two bodies have been recovered from the Broads in the area surrounding where a 13 year-old girl was found alone on an unreturned hire boat over the weekend.

Police had been searching the section of Broads between Salhouse Broad and Wroxham Broad since saturday when the vessel and girl were found. A member of the public had reported the boat as missing although it wasn't long before it was discovered tied to a tree.

Police say that they are not looking for anybody else in connection with the incident and the boat has been taken to a local yard for further examination. The cause of the incident is yet to be determined although Police are endeavouring to establish the sequence of events that resulted in this tragic incident.
